LINKING UP WITH EDDIE - AND THE GROUP

Left Belfast on 7.30am Stena crossing to Cairnryan port - great sailing and good weather.
In fact weather fine until I reached 20 miles outside Gretna Green, where I met up with Eddie and we headed off to Holiday Inn outside Coventry for the night.  Had a great ride down though hit heavy rain outside Birmingham and the resulting heavy spray from traffic!
Rain cleared late afternoon and we had a relaxing night at Holiday Inn and a good catch-up.
Getting rested up for some serious biking!!

  GREAT MATES

SUNDAY MORNING.......

Great stay at Holiday Inn - totally relaxed and ready for the next leg of the journey - 127 miles to port.
REALLY warm and a nice change from the rain and spray of yesterday -
highest point on temp gauge was 27 degrees.

Arrived Harwich 1pm and the tanks filled up......we're all set!...head to ferry.

13 riders and 1 pillion in our group - including Nigel Richardson, tour leader.
All BMWs on trip.
Met at 6.30 on board for tea and now just chilling in bar.
Been a great day and a promising start to the trip.
Ferry docks 1pm Danish time tomorrow and then a 135 mile ride to hotel.
